Sweet Potato
All Claude & Clarence dry food recipes are grain free. Instead, we use Sweet Potato, which is a complex carbohydrate high in B Vitamins. Sweet Potatoes bring many benefits to your pet’s diet as they are also rich in Vitamin C and contain several essential minerals. As part of your pet’s balanced diet, they ensure sustained, slow energy release throughout the day.
Lentils
Lentils are a great source of nutrients for dogs. They are high in dietary fibre and protein, and provide a rich source of nutrients like B Vitamins, Phosphorus and Iron.
Cellulose
Cellulose is a rich source of dietary fibre found in the cell walls of all plants. It is almost entirely indigestible for dogs which is actually a very good thing! In its undigested form it provides a wide range of benefits including reducing constipation.
Peas
Peas are a great source of health-promoting antioxidants as well as a wide spectrum of beneficial nutrients including Vitamins C, K and B1, Manganese and fibre. Peas also contain high protein levels which helps to increase essential amino acids in our foods.
Linseed
Linseed contains high levels of dietary fibre, natural antioxidants and nutrients. Its primary benefit is its high proportion of health-boosting Omega 3 fatty acids.
Orange
Orange is well known for being rich in Vitamin C, an antioxidant which can help support the immune system.
Marjoram
Marjoram has a high mineral and antioxidant content and is also a natural anti-inflammatory.
Basil
Basil is a natural anti-inflammatory and contains a high level of antioxidants. Basil also helps prevent cell damage, can calm an anxious pet and can ease arthritis pain.
Sage
Sage has anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties as well as having the ability to provide relief from acidity and aid in digestion.
Thyme
Thyme contains many active properties that are found to have disease-preventing and health-promoting benefits.
Potato
Using Potatoes instead of grains in our foods enables the inclusion of essential vitamins such as Vitamin C and Vitamin B6. Potatoes are also a great source of potassium.
Chickpeas
Chickpeas are rich in essential amino acids. They provide a source of protein, dietary fibre and certain dietary minerals such as Iron and Phosphorus.
Asparagus
Asparagus is rich in Vitamins A, C and K plus Folic Acid which all help contribute to general health and wellbeing.
Cranberry
Cranberry is a great source of Vitamin C, E and K and dietary fibre. Cranberries have also been widely recognised as helping to prevent urinary tract infections.
Carrot
Carrot is known for being a good source of Vitamin A in the form of beta carotene which helps support eye health and vision. Carrots are excellent sources of numerous minerals, soluble fibre and are abundant in natural antioxidants.
Beet Pulp
Beet Pulp is an excellent source of dietary fibre. Fibre is essential to promote general digestive health and to assist with the absorption of nutrients from other ingredients.
Mint
Mint helps aid digestion and is a good source of iron and Vitamins A and C.
Rosemary
Rosemary is used as a natural preservative. Rosemary Oil (extract) is a powerful antioxidant which can slow down the oxidisation process. As an antioxidant, rosemary oil can also help to reduce the risk of cancer.
Oregano
Oregano can improve gut metabolism and aids digestion by facilitating the secretion of gastro-intestinal juices.
Parsley
Parsley is a rich source for Vitamin K which plays a beneficial role in maintaining bone health.
Yucca
Yucca Extract is a natural aid to help the body remove toxins and facilitate digestion.

Omega 3
Made from Fish Oil, our Omega 3 supplement comes from oily fish like tuna, sardines, salmon and mackerel. L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine is an amino acid that is naturally produced by animal cells and has a central role in the metabolism of fats. By adding L-Carnitine to our weight loss and senior foods it assists with the breakdown of body fat while maintaining lean muscle mass.
Brewer's Yeast
A great natural source of B Vitamins, Brewer’s Yeast has a wide range of functions: aiding digestion, supporting the nervous system and keeping the skin, hair, eyes, mouth, and liver healthy to name a few. Brewer’s Yeast is also a good source of protein as it contains all the essential amino acids required by dogs.
Chondroitin
Chondroitin Sulphate is a naturally occurring chemical and is well known for easing the symptoms of joint conditions. It also acts as a natural anti-inflammatory.
MSM
Methyl-Sulphonyl-Methane (MSM) is a natural anti-inflammatory recommended for the treatment and prevention of osteoarthritis and other joint problems.

Omega 6
Working in conjunction with Omega 3, Omega 6 oils have long been used for the prevention and treatment of many of health conditions like problems with joints, skin conditions and cardiovascular disease.
Taurine
Taurine is an amino acid (one of the building blocks of proteins) that can be found naturally in all sorts of foods and especially in seafood and meat. Cats do not synthesise sufficient levels of Taurine naturally, so it’s essential that they receive enough in their diet to maintain healthy eyes and regulate cardiovascular function.
Glucosamine
Glucosamine is a natural aid for joint problems and is one of the most common non-vitamin, non-mineral dietary supplements for both humans and dogs
